Why not just use an app that lets you stream from your computer at home? why pay for online storage when you already have it?

Appl introduced a new Verizon iPhone 4 in January of this year and it only launched last month (February).
Apple is also expected to release a white version of the iPhone 4 next month.
These two iPhone 4 upgrades seem to allow Apple to push back the launch of their next-generation handset. Afterall, how could they release updated iPhone 4s in February and April then a whole new device in June?

I'm sure it will be sold in store as well. I just can't see apple cutting Amazon & all the other apple resellers out of the deal.

Oh! I see. I can agree to that.
If Apple does not allow that, I might as well go out and buy the DVD or USB for such a purpose.
If Apple does not allow that, then a failed hard drive would mean that the only way to install your legal copy of OS X would be to buy a second copy of OS X. Hopefully they see the flaws and will do something about it.

Microsoft would never do this, they know better because thousands of Apple fans would be on the internet with Safari posting the most vile crap you would ever want to read....
Not to burst your bubble, but isn't the 360 a closed system, over 32 million sold and if you are found hacking it to play pirated games your account is locked/cancelled and you can't play online anymore?
Apple aren't the only company who see the benefits of a closed system, right or wrong most other phone/console devices have some system in place to stop the user from having total access to it, even Android phones can be closed systems when the phone carrier/handset maker makes it so.
I do agree with having the makers of the software and hardware putting these systems in place, but I also think that the user (if they are smart enough) should be allowed to hack/jailbreak or whatever without fear of reprisals. But as I said earlier, if you do hack/jailbreak one of these closed systems and you brick your device it should be on your head

I have been wondering the same thing. No matter how good the news is, there are still a bunch of negative votes. It just re-inforces my belief there is an organized effort to discredit Apple on this site. If it was just individuals, I would wonder why waste time on an Apple website if you did not like Apple? It makes no sense in that scenario. I do believe the PC establishment is worried about the possibility of Apple gaining more of a foothold in corporate America.
No matter how good someone will always be negative, but also no matter how bad someone will be positive. That's just the way life is. This has nothing to do with having those that are anti-Mac or pro-Mac. People just don't agree on anything.
Maybe this person santed to see the core 2 duo in a PowerMac/Intel Mac Pro unit. Maybe he wanted an iPod shuffle with a core 2 duo in it. Maybe that would be just to say that he had the smallest core 2 duo computers or the most over processed iPods?

I'd rather have a bigger battery and a Go 7700.
Here! Here! Though I'd be much happier to have the option to upgrade to the GeForce Go 7900 GTX. :D I just don't know how practical to the average user it would be in a MBP. For me, it would be very practical.

It may be an iPhone 4[S] release this year and an iPhone 5 next year. Personally I think the iPhone 4 could be faster but what else can you do to the device in terms of hardware that would make it more attractive to other 95% of non geeks that use the phone? No much would be the answer.
However, improved software will go a long way to give users a better experience using the system. I hope things like notification, syncing and perhaps a general interface refresh is coming to iOS 5. Also wouldn't mind an updated camera app with white balance and shutter speed control.
In terms of the iOS API I think Apple will probably have quite a few surprises in store for us.
I think the Tick Tock release schedule that Intel setup really makes a lot of sense for Apple as well. One version to introduce an idea and one version to optimise the idea. (see 3G to 3G[S], iPad to iPad 2 and perhaps 4 to 4[S])

1. If you check Apple's knowledge database or the manual that come with MBP, it actually says not to put this laptop on top of your lap, ....
I have a 4 year old Toshiba that runs (under moderate load) fairly cool. It also warned against using in lap.
I think all "laptops" will come with that warning now. It is just an attempt to prevent lawsuits.
Plus, guys, it is bad for your...ummm....baby makers...they are on the outside for a reason.

Here's other point of view: I want to use OSX in everyday use (Safari, Mail, iTunes, graphic design, Dreamweaver etc... and OSX overall). But sometimes I want to play games too, and it's awesome that nowadays it's possible to boot into Windows and play games there and then boot back into OSX. Are you saying that Apple should totally forget all users who would like to use OSX but occasionally play games on Windows, and let them buy PCs? Most of the gamers do not use their computer ONLY to play games. Consumer tower would be good for Apple to get new switchers and get more marketshare.

What I see is Amazon being explicit here in that they can retain, use and disclose your data in any way they see fit. Period.

Looking at what you've said there makes sense and I think I see it the same as you (it certainly looks like Amazon will have more "right" to access your data for less specific reasons).
Perhaps it's a bad judge of character but I do see Amazon along with Apple as top tier companies when it comes to privacy concerns so my concerns are dampened by their good reputations. :)
Hopefully some rogue element in Amazon doesn't abuse the levels of access they have.

You could argue that when they pump all consumer Mac resolutions up to the limit of human perception, resolution independence becomes sort of moot.
Almost, but not quite. Full resolution independence would allow you to change the scale/size of UI elements. Even if you can't see the pixels, some people may prefer smaller or larger "virtual" resolutions.
